For those still sleeping on Dilana Smith, wake the F*** , the hell up! This South-African born rock goddess carved her place in music history with grit, grace, and a voice that could level cities. From her breakout on Rock Star: Supernova to her jaw-dropping solo work and unapologetic attitude, Dilana isn’t just singing songs, she’s setting them on fire.
She just wrapped up her epic "Legendary Woman of Rock" tour, a tribute not only to the greats that came before her, but to her own wild, untamed journey in rock’n’roll. She’s already setting her sights on the "Legendary Men of Rock Tour 2026" and if that doesn’t scream ambition and badassery, I don’t know what the hell you want more!

It was supposed to be just another photo gig at the Ghent Festivities in Belgium. A little drizzle, a few classic tunes, fans with umbrellas… and then boom! Dilana Smith walks on stage like a thunderstorm in a black suit with rock'n'roll attitudes and sneakers, this is rock elegancy all over the place.
She opened the set with a Fleetwood Mac cover, hauntingly beautiful, soft-spoken yet untamed, and it set the tone. The kind of intro that feels like a walk in the park on a hot, rainy summer day equal parts nostalgic and electric.
Fans huddled under big umbrellas like mushrooms popping up in the wet grass. Most were there to stay dry. But there was only one lunatic with a camera willing to get soaked for the shot! You guessed it, yours truly, V., myself! No mosh pits this time, no crowd surfers or flying beers, just the rain, the vibe, and a woman who knows how to hold a stage like it’s her battlefield.
And just as she geared up for a powerhouse intro to "Weak" by Skunk Anansie, and Mother Nature decided to drop her own beat, in buckets. I had to call it quits on shooting, before my lens was fogging up, water was already dripping down my spine. But Dilana? She didn’t even blink. She looked that storm in the eye and sang Amanda Marshall’s "Let It Rain" like it was part of the script.
Talk about timing..... .

The set moved on, the rain didn’t care, and neither did Dilana. Alongside her talented backing vocalist/guitarist, they laughed, rolled with the weather, and kept the energy damn near spiritual. That chemistry? Pure fire. The vibe? Unshakable. The moment? Legendary.
Shoutout to Frank, the booking wizard who brought Dilana to Gent. Man, you hit bullseye. Just… next time, can you order a side of sun with that?
I've seen my fair share of iconic women blaze their way through music’s history — with scars, with soul, and with songs that haunt the bones. But Dilana Smith deserves her name etched right alongside them. She’s not just a performer, she’s a storm wrapped in velvet vocals and steel resolve.
From V’s Metal Media, this ain’t just a shout-out, This is a damn award. And Dilana, girl, you earned it. Big time!!!!
